The Audi a6 has become the bestselling car in the its class, setting the standards for refinement, build quality and drivability and a great price compared to its rival.

There are few engine choices available - petrol engines are a 168bhp 2.0-litre TFSI and a 217bhp 2.8-litre FSI, and the diesel options are a 168bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre TDI, a 187bhp 2.7-litre TDI and a 237bhp 3.0-litre TDI. Transmissions are available in a combination of six-speed manual, six-speed Tiptronic and seven-speed Multitronic gearboxes. The Audi have added two new engines in the Audi A6 range, the 3.0-litre V6 TFSI petrol and an ultra-efficient 134bhp 2.0-litre named the TDIe which is expected to become UK’s most popular diesel engine choice.

The Audi A6s steering is light but has plenty of grip for a large car, making it an impressive drive on city and country roads. The 134 bhp engine has plenty of pace with 236Ib ft of torque making it a quick starter. The Audi a6 uses the more efficient six-speed manual gearbox accelerating from 0 – 62 mph in 10 seconds and reaches top speed of 129 mph.

In the UK, there are three trim levels available the standard, SE and the s-line. The SE has become more popular with its standard spec including:
•16-inch alloys
•air-con
•cruise control
•rain and light sensors
•leather upholstery

The Audi A6 continues to set the standards in safety by receiving an overall 5 stars in the NCAP crash test for passenger and pedestrian.
